Sites About Real Vampires
Atlanta Vampire Alliance
Well-designed website filled with dense, highly intellectual content. The AVA has designed and distributed two very long and comprehensive surveys for the vampire community, the VEWRS and the AVEWRS, and is currently compiling the results for a publication timeframe of 2009/2010. For information, see the Vampire Survey page. AVA exists as an offline group in the Atlanta area, accepts Associate Members who reside within a 75-mile radius of the region and has a Forum.
Blood and Coffee
Personal realvamp site but intelligent and lively comments. Nice list of annotated links. Dishes some amusing dirt.
Blood Drinker's Resource Page
for adults over 18 years of age only A collection of information of use to blood-drinkers. Now archived on Sanguinarius' site and slightly outdated, but still valuable. Includes links to material about blood, blood collection, dangers and safety measures, and related topics.
The Coven Organization
"The Coven Organization has always been dedicated to the prosperity and preservation of the Vampire community and culture. Today, The Coven is an online vampire research and news portal, and a haven for all dark creatures." Updated and redesigned in 2006.
Damn Society Dwelling Vampires
Site is being re-designed. Contains some basic information in the form of short articles, but appears to serve primarily as a portal to the associated Forum.
Darkness Embraced
Huge and complex site covering a multitude of related topics, including realvamps, vampire folklore and fiction, otherkin, and occultism. Requires membership to use Forums or access some areas of the site. Sign up, it's worth it.
Drink Deeply and Dream: The Reality of the Modern-Day Vampire
Elegantly presented site with a variety of content, including many articles on real vampires/psychic vampires and related issues and topics, a list of recommended fiction, and more personal content about the webmistress herself. Odd omission: no links for other sites (at least, I can't find them). Associated forum is very active.
Echoes of Night
An informational site specifically for blooddrinking vampires, this page contains essays on the pros and cons of being a vampire, diseases related to vampirism, blood-borne diseases, medical information, technical theories to explain blood vampirism, and other topics. Links, and an online vampire coloring book for kids and a comic.
European Night
Different color scheme than most sites, and good basic information. It hasn't been updated since 2000.
FoolishBlue
Current site of OVC old-timer SonjaBlue--includes much of the realvamp material from her original site plus pages of quotes, her own fiction, and more. Includes the four-part essay on vampirism, "As I See It" by Duncan/OCaptain. The links are outdated, but the main site is copyright 2006.
House Kheperu: seek your own truth
Very professionally designed site with huge amounts of information about psychic development techniques, realvamps, vampire history and lore, magic and the paranormal. Portal for offline group House Kheperu. Associated forum is very active.
House of Nephilim
It's unclear if this site is still being maintained, or if the group is still active, but there are some decent articles, mostly on psy-vamp issues.
House of the Dreaming
Unusual navigation design, fair amount of good information, tons and tons of links.
House Quinotaur
House Quinotaur states that it is the only vampire organization established on six continents. Website includes detailed information on the group itself and requirements for membership, and instructional information related to psi-vamps, psionics and related topics, including some substantial documents online.
My Psi-Vampire Page
Main page is very hard to read because of dark type on dark background--others pages have lighter type. This was one of the earliest psi-vamp sites.
Nightfire's Real Vampire Haven Community
Basic informational site for realvamps.
Nocturnus
Neatly presented site. Information follows that of "Catherene's" site, including "Ageless" and "Inheritor" types of vampire.
Psychic Vampire Resource and Support Pages
Nicely designed, content rich site, recently updated.
Quicksilver Messenger Service Homepage
A homepage originating with the Quicksilver messageboard, this site is still under construction but is attractively designed. Includes questionnaires, a poetry corner, links, listings of "regulars", a Card Shoppe, and other interesting content.
Real Vampires/Vampiric Studies
An educational page about real vampires maintained by "Catherene, Teacher of the Night's Children". Contains information organized into a series of lessons, which Catherene has taught live in online chat. Catherene diverges from most of the vampiric community in her views, which include the existence of immortal or long-lived vampires, vampire virii, and prophecies of an End Time. Her article on "real predators" (of the internet kind) is definitely worth reading.
Reapers of Blood-Embrace the Darkness
Comprehensive site operated by Razor the Tormented. Lots of articles and information about real vampire issues and basic psychic development work, a couple of opinion pieces, links, recommended reading lists, and a messageboard.
Sanguinarius.org for Real Vampires
One of the oldest and biggest "vampire support" sites on the web--includes faqs and articles, links, forums, online stores, connections to on- and off-line groups, and much more. (please note that this is not The Sanguinarium, a different organization.)
Silken Shadows Vampire Community: Real Living Vampires
"Silken Shadows Vampire Community has evolved around circumstances and needs in the Vampire Community today. It has great intentions and fantastic ambitions. Its goal is to provide an informative service and communal gathering place for Real Vampires." Registration required; articles, forum, links.
Sphynxcat's Real Vampires Page
A friendly, nicely-organized site that serves as a resource center for information on the Web about real vampires and their concerns. Includes links to information about blooddrinkers, psi-vamps, general psychic/psionic information, "vampersonals" and other material. Good place to start if you're looking for lots of varied information and points of view.
The Subject Was Vampires
Online portal for the "Maidenfear" order based out of Philadelphia. The group states that it was founded in 1970 by a direct descendent of Jacques de Molay, but it uses the same terminology (e.g. "Black Swan," "pranic vampirism") as recent groups.
Suscitatio Enterprises, LLC - Vampirism and Energy Work Research Study

True Form Within
Formerly Vampires of Eternal Night, this site has been very recently resurrected and revised by its owner, VampireKitten, to include the Otherkin and Therian communities. Articles on sanguinarian and psi-vamp concerns, occult/magick and other topics. Nice design although you do have to pay close attention to the frame sidebars. Links, associated messageboard, more.
The Vampire Gathering
Small site but good content with some original articles about realvamp issues. Includes links, book reviews and a forum.
Vampire Legacy Society
This site has been up for quite a while. It has a very simple design and lots of original content. Along with informational articles about vampire history, fandom, and realvamp topics, the authors include a lengthy gossip page giving their opinions of numerous personalities in the online VC (including me!) and "rants" about the community itself. Also links, messageboard, gallery and more.
Vampiric People's Resource Page
A collection of information on all facets of vampirism, with emphasis on real-life vampiric people of all kinds.
Among the most comprehensive collections of links to sites about vampiric theory, folklore, and practical information, along with several essays concerning Amy's thoughts and tentative conclusions about real-life vampiric people and their communities.
Vampiric Reality
General information about real vampires.
Vampirism Research Institute
The VRI has been closed, but the site remains with some archived articles and materials.
Vampyre Society
Serious-looking site with an offline core group based in Ohio. Tidy, professional design, lots of content. Articles, links, community directory, associated messageboard, e-group and livejournal group, more.
Vampyrs
Like Catherene, WingedWolfPsion is in an idiosyncratic category all her own. This is a section of her larger Parazoology Site. Articles discuss the author's views concerning real vampires, including the vampyr symbiont, "innate" and "induced" blood vampirism, "energy feeders," "turning," and ways that vampirism can be cured. Associated messageboard.
